The End Game

I can't keep standing here

in suspended animation

trying to pretend

that you see me

when you don't

So I take a breath and
leap into the life I desire
for passion has given me
great wings to fly

And while in the air,
I realize I finally believe
something You never did:

I will make it
without You.

Nourish it then that it may leaf, and bloom, and fill with singing birds!
